Greyhound owners howl to state Thursday, May 7, 2009 @ 11:29PMPROVIDENCE — The RI Greyhound Owners Association (RIGOA) has requested a Department of Business Regulation (DBR) hearing to challenge Twin River’s decision to cancel its dog racing season after Aug. 8, but the director of that agency says the group has no standing to do so and DBR has no power to change that decision as long as Twin River meets the minimum of 125 racing days required by law.
