Cross Breeds

My husband sleeps with stuffed animals, is there anything wrong with it?

We have a wonderful married life and I couldn't ask for a more kind, understanding and gentle man. But every night he absolutely has to sleep with 7 stuffed animals (from his childhood) on the edge of his side of the bed every night. He's very attatched to them and I am just wondering if there is anything serious behind this behavior?

  1. I still sleep with my teddy bear from 25 years ago. I see nothing wrong with it but my wife constantly berates him for smelling bad. Well, berates me for him smelling bad I suppose.
  2. Leave it to a woman to find something to complain about when there is nothing. You must be a treat. My Bear went to Police Academy with me.
  3. If he's a kind loving husband I don't think sleeping with stuff animals is a problem. But if it bothers you I think that you should just tell him about it. He's a grown man he'll understand.
  4. I don't think this is serious because obviously there is a reason that he is doing this. Maybe some type of child hood memory he doesn't want to give up and the stuffed animals are what remind him or it. Have you tried asking him why he goes to sleep with stuffed animals?
  5. He is way GAY!!!
  6. OMG....yeah..it's called wuss-itis...please get him some help! That's the most pathetic thing i've EVER heard!
  7. Hehe, well aside from it being absolutely adorable... it actually kindof sounds like a mild form of OCD... if he absolutely HAS to do it, if it just doesn't "feel right" otherwise... it fits the bill... but that doesn't necessarily mean he would be diagnosed with the disorder; as long as it's not harming anyone, it's okay... and as long as there aren't any OTHER obsessive compulsive behaviors that DO cause harm to him or others I wouldn't worry about it... Psychological pathologies by definition cause distress and are a threat to general functioning... if he has other behaviors (or obsessive thought) that are distressing, though, you should read about the symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OCD But it sounds more like it's just something he likes doing... which is perfectly normal... and cute... I want a guy who sleeps with stuffed animals!
  8. Does the stuffing leak out during the act, or is it more platonic? W()()T!
  9. I sleep with a blanket I've had for years. It's a comfort thing. He's probably not that crazy about the dark either. But my mate and I have had arguments over my cat blanket. But without it my nightmares are awful. Like I said it's comfort thing. It's not serious, in time those animals will probably move to the self, just like I know blanket's going to get put out on the couch someday.
