Good way to display/store stuffed animals?

I've collected stuffed animals nearly my whole life and can't part with them. My husband and I have talked about starting a family soon and I would just pass my stuffed animals down to any child(ren) we have. What is the best way to display them? I'm not crazy about pet nets, any other solution? I've thought of putting shelving around the room in our house that will eventually be nursery and setting them on the shelves. Feedback? Suggestions? Thanks!

  1. that way they would collect dust.you want your child to enjoy them so i would take a few out let him have in his room display on his rocker or chest of drawers till he or she is old enough to play with them and every three months i would switch them out to knew ones so he has a chance to play with all of them.you want him to play with them not just sit there and look at them collecting dust.

  3. If you don't want to use nets then shelving is your best bet. Maybe find a cedar chest or something like it for your older ones or the ones you really really love so that they don't get damaged by dust and kids
  4. Here are some good ideas http://www.best-child-toys.com/stuffed-animal-storage.html#huge I actually like the toy cage and the toy pole. Also, I've use those hanging shoe cubbies...they are made out of material to stuff an animal in each spot.
  5. How many do you have? You don't have to display them all at once. Put a few out at a time and change the display every few months. Store the rest in some boxes so they don't get dusty. This way you will have different favorites up all the time.
  6. use (several) a 1x12 board and some wrought brackets...and at the top of the walls (appx. 2ft from ceiling) place the brackets and shelving around the whole room...the shelves will be high enough so no one can bother them and you can't bump your head... but they will be very decorative.
