Where can I donate gently stuffed animals?

He doesn't play with them anymore and they are very gently-used, I can't give them to the Salvation army near us because they say too many people bring in stuffed animals. And I don't want to go through that much trouble to donate them. I've heard about Goodwill and SAFE and I might go with safe if I dont find another. Oh, that was stupid, "Gently Stuffed" is a typo, I meant gently used stuffed animals, sorry

  1. Goodwill is the best. All you have to do it put them in a trash bag or another bag and drop them off
  2. Toys For Tots collects around holidays in my neighborhood, mainly around Christmas. I hear that they are located in local fire stations, you might want to ask them about their collection times and places.
  3. garage sale. another salvation army.
  4. a. Salvation Army b. Goodwill
  5. I would say the local Goodwill Store..
  6. Goodwill is good, or you could always try to find a women/children's shelter in your area...or orphanages.
  7. Well, if you want you could take them to an orphanage of some sort, or to Goodwill. That or you can give them to me XD Don't, I have over a hundred, and though I want more I don't need any.
  8. How did they get "gently stuffed"? Nevermind. Yeah, try Goodwill Industries. Find em in the phonebook. Thats the big yellow book you may have found on your doorstep. Hope you picked it up and kept it.
  9. Doante them to the Battered Women's Shleter. There are a lot of abused and distraught kids there. You just have to call first. Or try the National Kidney Fund. Other than that, good ol' Goodwill or a local consignment shop. Oh! Some churches may take them. You'll have to call around. Also, you can give them away on Freecycle. It is a website.
  10. You might contact your fire department. I know there is sometimes a program where they take stuffed animals and use them to comfort children who have been involved with their family home burning down and such things. If not that then you could contact the local homeless shelter. One of hte problems is many of these agencies want new toys.
  11. You could give them to a children's hospital.
  12. There are plenty of charities. You can do a google search for local charities in your area. Some that come to mind are Toys for Tots and Goodwill.
  13. Just an FYI - Toys for Tots only accepts new toys, and a Children's Hospital can NOT accept used stuffed animals, no matter how great a shape they are in. If you have a local crisis nursery, Youth in Need, battered women's shelter or homeless shelter, these are good places to donate. If your local thrift store accepts stuffed animals, this is also good.
