Why do you think stuffed animals remain so popular today?

Why do you think stuffed animals have continued to be so popular among kids and adults up until now? Do you think they'd ever become an outdated fad? Do you think in the future, there will be other stuffed animals like Webkinz and Ty Beanies, which will develop a huge following/craze?

1. whether its a collectable or just for fun,stuffed animals make cute,sweet lil gifts :)
2. Because they are so cuddly!!!!
3. With my children they offer some kinda security. My son has always had a doggy. As long as we have them infront of the children (considering not just kids adore stuff animals) will respond to them.
4. Maybe cuz little pplz think there fuzzy, they'll never go out cuz of that, and possibly yes to that last part
5. I doubt they will ever go out of style. They are cute and cuddly. You can tell them secrets and they never tell anyone else. They listen to your problems, and never criticize. They don't argue with you or talk back.
