  1. People are killing them....bears for theit coats...elephants for their teeth.. Man is cruel...I can go on and on
  2. natural selection
  3. Animals and birds are going insects are going extinct because we humans are continuously moving in on land that belong to them, destroying their homes and habitats, leaving them trying to survive. This can end in extinction. Also, we are heartlessly poaching many animals that should be protected. Please know that insects are part of a food chain. If you hate insects so much, and were to make them go extinct, that would eventually kill off many of the beautiful animals and birds that you seem to care so much about. If an insect goes extinct, the animal that eats it no longer has a source of food. Then that animal dies, and so does the animal that depends on that animal and so on. Please educate yourself before you insult insects. Many lives depend on them. Without them, lives for everyone would change.
  4. because we are killing them ! Humns are selfish and they are destroying the earth. Did you do science at school obviously if theres nothing to eat the insects they will increase in number!
  5. It's mainly because of human destruction of food chains, flora & fauna, through pollution and removal of trees for coffee tables and knick-knacks. Insects - which will outlive us all - have always been more adaptive to their environment than any other living species. When we are all gone, government will be run by a new and improved branch of cockroaches. Happy Hannukah.
  6. Actually, insects are most likely to be the survivors. Insects rely mostly on larger animals to survive. You should probably study what insects live on before you ask this question. It usually involves blood, fecaes or the carcasses of the dead. If some species of insect doesn't rely on this type of matter directly, they rely on it indirectly, as in plant life. Plants need fertiliser and creatures to turn the soil naturally. If you were to put nature on a ladder, it would start with bacteria and insects would be next in line, leading up to human life and then ending with bacteria. Its a cycle that insects are a part of. Insects could be the cause of our diseases, but they are a huge part of our immunity also. They are one of the first reasons we have human life. As long as the 'disgusting' insects are alive, i'm confident in the human race.
