How do we protect animals from being extinct?
The number of some species of animals are dwindling rapidly, and since putting them on the endangered species list is not working, what can we do to protect them from being extinct?

- The major problem is habitat destruction. These endangered species compete with human beings for land, trees, and water, and as we use them up, there is less of it for them. This is a very difficult thing to achieve because our population is exploding (from 6 billion to 9 billion by 2050) and people will always choose to feed themselves and their families before saving an animal. So in answer to your question, I think the best thing we can to do save endangered species is to limit population increases in our own. The more humans there are, the fewer resources there will be for them.
- stop killing animals as people like to do to make money off of the hides or like the ivory of elephants. Boy, that just makes my blood boil about the elephants. They are so human like and intelligent and we have to almost kill them off for the ivory.
