What are some reasons to bring back extinct animals such as the mammoth?
Is this a bio-ethical issue? What are the scientific pros & cons of doing such a thing?

- Most of them there arnt any reasons to me.Why the hell would you want some crazy ass dinosaur runnin around gettin loose?
- Firstly, we currently do not have the technology to actually revive an extinct species. If we could, , I wouldn't say that there are ethical issues but there would certainly be environmental ones. The living and eating habits of prehistoric animals would be difficult to support in our modern day society. Have you seen any of the Jurassic Park movies? They pretty much show the reasons why it's a bad idea. However, the reason scientists might want to is that fossils can only paint a rather vague picture of what these animals were like. Seeing it alive would provide a wealth of information about early life and evolution. But as I said, it isn't possible.
- Bringing back extinct animals have lots of reasons for scientists. 1) To study how they lived 2) To display them at zoos, parks(etc....) 3) To be a millionaire(crazy scientists) But there are disadvantages as well. 1) They might escape 2) They might eat people up And scientists have problems 1) They can't extract DNA from fossilized bones 2) They have amber(fossilized sap of ancient tree with fossilized insect inside), but they can't extract DNA from the fossilized insect as well. So it concludes scientists can't bring back extinct animals.
