relief for asthma attacks caused by cats and dogs?

My daughter and girlfriend keep begging me to have a cat but my whole life i've had problems when i get around a dog or cat I have asthma attacks. Lately i've noticed some dogs and cats it doesnt happen with. I'm curious if there is certain pet types that dont trigger these attacks and i would also like to know if there is any medecine that can help?

1. I also have asthma around animals. I loooove animals. Our son wanted a pet so during a difficut period in his life, we got a Rex bunny, supposed to be non allergenic. After 2 years, I had gone from mild allergic asthma to severe asthma. I used to use an inhaler a few times a year, now I use two twice a day. my pneumonologist told me that no animal is hypoallergenic and to not get another pet after ours dies.
