Is this physics question right? its on forces in one dimension?

three confused sleigh dogs are trying to pull a sled across the alaskan snow. Alutia pulls east with a force of 35 N, Seward also pulls east but with a force of 42 N, and big Kodiak pulls west with a force of 53 N. what is the total net force on the sled? My answer is 24 N. is this right?

1. They are all in a line, so simple algebra works to add these vectors. R = 35+42–53 = 24 N to the E
