Are there any English bulldog puppies for sale or free in the Chicago are?

I'm looking for an English Bulldog puppy and I'm wondering if there is anyone that is giving them out for adoption or selling them for adoption in the Chicago area?

  1. Petfinder.com has them up for adoption in rescues in your area. They'll most likely be adults, but no matter. Adults need loving homes, too.
  2. haha free english bulldogs. funny
  3. Go to a local shelter and see what dogs they have there, everyone wants puppies but there are dogs in needs of homes, go get one!
  4. . You buy them from a reputable breeder, Not a BYBer, or a PUPPY MILL or a PET SHOP. Do not buy from newspaper ads. english bulldog rescues in Chicago http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=english%20bulldog%20rescue%20in%20chicagp clubs & meets & rescues http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=english%20bulldog%20club%20in%20chicagp As hard as it is for this breed to breed & all the complications that come up, you don't want to get one that is full of all kinds of faults & problems. If is worth finding a reputable breeder on this breed. BYBed ones are usually in bad shape.
  5. as you are looking for an english bulldog puppy, im sure you are already aware that the cost of buying one is very expensive.im not sure however is you are aware of why they are expensive and very hard to find. also why they are not given away normally. all english bulldogs have to have artificial breeding as they cannot do it themselves. they then have to have a cesarian section *(operation to remove puppies from the belly area) since they cannot have their puppies normally. the cost of this operation is on average 2,000.00. the mortality rate for these puppies is very high as they are so susceptible to pneumonia in the first 5 weeks of their life. since they usually only have 2-5 puppies you can see why they are so expensive. the owners have to be super diligent for their dogs 24-7. perhaps you might consider a retired female for adoption. their are breeders such as myself who adopt out their retired dogs after 2=4 breedings to forever homes before they get too old. they live a good long time so good luck in your search.
