My pit bull puppy gets mad when other puppies want to play with her. What should I do?
How will I make her a good pet?

- I am not an expert on pitbulls, but we just rescued one and the thing about this breed is that they will not back down if they feel threatened! They will fight! So beware!!!!!!!! Yours might be dog aggressive meaning that she doesn't like other dogs. Some dogs are also selective about which dogs they want to play with. Perhaps your dog would do better will an older calmer dog, because the puppies are to much high energy for her and it builds tension. But do not underestimate that she can do damage in a fight! So I would keep her on a leash at all times when around other dogs and let them sniff each other first. Once again I will repeat that pitbulls can be very dangerous in a dog fight and can do lots of damage to the other dog, and you don't want a lawsuit on your hands!
- my dog does to she starts to bark a bit she plays good with people dogs she wont play with them but dont mind them either.
- get a cat. they are awesome playmates for dogs and don't a;ways want to play and don't usually push the issue like other dogs. you can't make a pet a "good pet". she needs to be socialized more with other dogs. dogs (especially pits) like to push other dogs to play with them whether the other dog wants to or not. and wehen they don't want to play then they won'y play. take the other dog away if it is to much on your dog so she does not feel overwelmed and a fight starts out between them.
- The pit bull is the one getting mad, so the pit bull is obviously the one being pushed, not the one doing the pushing. In my experience, pit bulls can be big babies when they're puppies. They either submit during play far too easily, or get mad when the other puppy or dog plays too roughly. There might not be anything you can do about it. Some dogs (and even puppies) just don't like to play and all you can do is accept it and move on. Pit bulls are more people oriented than dog oriented. Your pit bull will probably never care much for the company of other dogs. So, why don't you try playing with her instead of allowing her to play with puppies? OR you could introduce her to a calm adult dog. She might appreciate that. She might not like how rowdy some puppies can be. Like I said, pit bull puppies can be big babies. Don't get a cat unless you know what you are doing. Pit bulls and cats CAN successfully live together, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have experience handling terriers and cats together. Pit bulls have a HIGH prey drive and even if they love your cat dearly, if the cat moved too fast... being a small animal, that could set a terriers prey drive off. That said, I have a cat and a pit bull and I've managed it for six or so years. ETA: Also, always supervise play. If your pit bull starts to look stressed at all (ears pulled back, tail between legs, whale eyeing, etc) separate both dogs. That means play time is done for the pit bull and the other dog is just going to have to deal with it.
