How Can I Start Competing With Miniature Horses?

What are the best bloodlines? How much food do they need, and if different from QHs, what kind? Is it okay to use them for both cart and halter? Where should I get one from to start? How expensive should my first be? What classes can I compete in? ...and anything else. I just need some direction on how to go about starting with Mini's. I've been around Quarter Horses all my life, but I thought it might be fun to try something new. Thanks!
