Date tommorow with a girl who owns and loves horses...what are some things to ask/say?
I met this girl Kayla who is my a friend of my best friend's girlfriend. She has a very sweet and really attractive. We were just having a group night bowling last week when we really hit it off. Anyways we agreed to go for dinner tommorow night and I am panicking of what to say. She spends alot of her free time riding and caring for horses. I on the other hand am not really certain about the whole horse topic. This is what I have found out so far, horse's name is Sebastian, she rides english style, and she is majoring in equine management. So what are some good questions to ask? I want to show her that I will embrace her love for horses, and actually would like to learn some about it myself. Thanks for the help, I really want her to like me! oops...its supposed to read my bestfriend's girlfriend's friend lol Oh and its she "has a very sweet PERSONALITY and is attractive". Great gazoo must be an english teacher jeez.

- "...my a friend of my best friend's girlfriend. ..." ok this is just weird. lol. What?? "...She has a very sweet and really attractive..." she's got a very sweet and really attractive what? lol. sorry, but your grammar is just kind of funny. ANYHOW... If you want her to like you, then be sincere. Using words that other people put in your mouth, isn't the way to go, and it'll sounds fake and phony. You also can come across as desperate. Just go on the date and let it go on as it does. Be yourself. Don't try to be something that you're not (very interested in horses).
- Just ask about what she does when riding...if she jumps the horse, how high, what kind of riding is she into(some types are dressage[fancy, but only flat work-no jumping], hunter-jumper, show jumping, cross country, polo[though she probably doesn't do polo])where'd she get Sebastian, how old is he/what breed of horse, how long she's been riding, things like that. How and when did she first start riding? Is Sebastian her first horse? Where does she keep him? Just ask any questions, like the ones above or something you thought of yourself. Horse-people are often shy to talk about their horses too much because others tend to end up thinking that they're "obsessed with horses" or rich and snobby, so it is always really cool to have someone curious and asking questions about it. It always makes me pay attention to the questioner if they are actually curious and not just judging me. So, go for it! haha
- You are already on the right track. Horse lovers enjoy talking about their horse and the sport. There are different disciplines of English Riding. So ask her if she is an Eventer, Show Jumper, or Dressage Rider? Ask her what she loves most about her choice of disclipine to ride and what made her chose it. Ask her what breed Sebastian is. Ask her if she has any pics of Sebastian that you can see. Ask what color he is. Ask her if you can come and see her horse and possibly watch her ride sometime. Ask her about her hopes, goals, and dreams are as far as riding. With these questions you are sure to score a second date! Good luck!
- Horse girls as super easy to talk too, even if they are shy, because bringing up horses unlocks the hidden key to babbling... LOL Ask: Ask her how long she's had the horse? Does she lease or own? Board or keep at home? How long has she been riding? Does she compete? What does she plan on doing after she has her degree? After you listen to the three hours of answers express your interest in horses. Tell her you've always wanted to know more about them and that you'd be interested in checking her's out or riding with her some time. If you've never rode tell her this now and that you'd like to learn. If she doesn't outright squeal with pleasure or start glowing with suppressed appreciation then you need to skip her anyhow. Be sincere and going after the horse angle will take you a long way. She'll say a bunch of words and phrases you won't get but ask her for a definition. She'll do most of the talking while you are on this subject anyhow. LOL
- Ask about her horse and sport. His color, breed, size, and personality. How and if she chose his name. How long she's had him. How long she's been involved with horses. How long has she been showing. What kind of equitment is involved. The regulations and events involved in showing. There is so much to know about horses that the more you learn the more you find you don't know, one question will lead to others. But remember that while horses are her pation and a major part of who she is there are other aspects of her too, and she will want to know about you too. You sound like you already havethis in hand just by you intrest in what she likes. Good Luck ;~)
- well you shouldnt be worried about talking just be yourself and dont ask questions that you dont understand. just ask basic questions like how long have you had him. or could she show you some day sebastian or something like that. just be your self:)
- Ask her about herself, and ask her about horses. If you have another date, make it horseback riding and a picnic, that way you can see why she's so into horses (by interacting with horses yourself) and you'll be doing something she'd really enjoy :)
- Ask her about her horse and she will never shut up
- Horse girls will talk about their horses forever if you get them going! First be honest tell her you don't know much about horses but are interested in learning. Then ask her questions about her horse. Just basic stuff like how long she has had it, does she horse show. If the date works out ask her if you can go meet her horse and watch her ride, she would probably love that! Good luck and, good for you for wanting to impress this girl it is very, very sweet.
- She will love you forever if you talk about her horse:p you can ask the breed, age, how long shes had Sebastian, how long shes been riding, if she shows. It would be a good thing if she shows because you can ask in what classes does she show, does she have a horror story of a show. She should be able to talk for hours with just these questions.
- Ask one question about her horse, even its colour, breed, or gender. Then ask any questions or make any (nice) comments that you think of that relate to what she said. Horse crazy people will literally talk about their horse all day.
- Just be honest. Say that you don't have a lot of experience with horses. Ask her when/how she got her horse. Just be normal don't over research.
- Ask anything at all that you would like to know about her horse. Her horses are her babies. Chances are she could talk about them for days. Google image horse anatomy, and give her horses a good hard scratch on their withers, crest, and point of shoulder. those tend to be places that a horse likes to be scratched. And you're going to win major points if you get her horse to like you.
- Ask her about her horses and stuff!
- Just ask her about her horse and she could probably talk for ages :) Girls who love horses could talk about their horses for ages. Ask her what discipline she rides (dressage, show-jumping etc) Once you start asking her questions like that she should start talking about her horse and just be interested and everything will just go from there. Good luck :)
