How do you feel about wild animals being kept as pets?

By wild animal, I'm speaking more about dangerous animals who aren't domesticated. Animals like Crocodiles, Tigers, Elephants, Hippos ect. Thoughts?

  1. Definitely isn't a good idea...... not fair to the animal and you could/will probably be hurt or killed. Wish I could own a leopard tho! :)
  2. It shouldn't be allowed but if the animals were previously in captivity and they will have acres to roam free in an appropriate non-wild habitat and will be loved and well looked after, then why not. But if they were born in the wild, they would have family and friends there and unless they are sick or injured, should be left alone. Although I have seen people keep cockatoos as pets in TINY cages, this is so wrong. You can buy hand-reared cockatoos with their wings clipped, but you should always give them a HUGE cage and let them do what they were born to do - spread those wings and FLYYYYYYY!
  3. It is dangerous. They have their space. Most people do not know how to feed them. Finally the wild animal died. I think i will not have a wild animals as my pets.
  4. It's SICK. And dangerous. I mean, what if the animal gets pissed about something and goes on a deadly rampage? That's happened before. It could be fatal. Besides, keeping wild animals as pets usually isn't even legal.
  5. I don't like it. Just because you like the type of animal doesn't mean you should keep one as a pet. Let them be free in their natural habitat.
  6. I think you will need a permit for a start, then you may have to comply with local regulations regarding keeping it secure, and then you have to worry about it's large and/or specialised diet. Not really practical.
