What other animals (crabs, fish, amphibians) can live with fire belly newts?

My boyfriend and I are planning on setting up a 55 gallon paludarium and we are wondering what animals will live together. I want a couple fire-belly newts or some other type of newt. He wants a couple red-clawed crabs or some other type of crab. I am wondering what types will get along if any. Can anyone help us? Or maybe suggest a couple different types of animals for our tank. Thank you.
