How do i reunite brother & sister pitbull dogs?

They are both 1 years old, born from the same parents, and haven't seen each other like a year... but the sister is kind of mean & fights plus she is coming next Saturday...

  1. You don't. You keep them separated, crate and rotate. Re-introduce on NEUTRAL TERRITORY like at a park. (NOT a dog park)
  2. I would muzzle the one that is most aggressive or both actually. When they meet have them meet by letting one sniff the back end area of one first and then switch and do the same thing to the next dog. They most likely won't recognized each other at all. Another thing you should know is that brothers & sisters from the same litter will try to mate regardless so you should keep an eye if the female is in heat. Other then that you should be good.
  3. I think I see trouble coming. They will not recognize that they are brother & sister.
  4. If the female is dog aggressive the the answer is...YOU DON'T. As another answerer state you crate and rotate the dog to keep them separated. You can introduce on neutral territory with leashes and muzzles to judge their levels of dog aggression, but make sure that everything is set up so that in no way can they fight! Never leave them alone unattended regardless of whether they seem to get along okay. If the female is prone to fighting...she will try to fight your male regardless... it is their nature to be dog aggressive so don't ever think that a female with dog aggression issues will be fine with another dog...it just won't happen. This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Be CAREFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and DO NOT LET THEM TOGETHER!!!
  5. OBVIOUS ANSWER - don't reunite them. At least not until the female is cured of her aggressive streak.
  6. you keep them separte,
  7. You don't put two dogs in a situation where one it likely to fight because that is its nature & the behavior has not be suppressed with training. If a dog aggressive dog was visiting [ask for the b*tch boarded or left with a pet sitter if it is going to be for more than half a day] then keep your dog crated or preferably locked in another room where the b*tch cannot reach it.
