- "Yes, worms are contagious - not only to your other cats, but to other species, as well. Dogs, small animals, even humans can be infected. The common types of worms that cats generally get are roundworms and tapeworms"
- Yes,you could but only if they threw up,and you ate it.Or you could get ring worms from lying on grass. However if your pet has worms and throws up and you don`t know it,and you somehow eat it,then yes you will get worms. However this is very uncommon and not to mention treatable with medications from your doctor.
- Yes from there poo. if u touch it and ur food gets in it.....
- You can get tapeworms, roundworms and hookworms from dogs.
- ok ringworm is NOT a worm.. its a fungal infection! You can easily catch ringworm tho, either from direct contact.. or indirect (for example an infected cat lays on your pillow, you then catch it off your pillow) Intestinal worms.. yes, you can, but if you practice good hygene, you wont. Wash your hands after handling your pet.. wash your hands after cleaning up dog poop, wash your hands after handling anything that may be infected with dog poop, wash your hands before eating. Make sure you get under them fingernails!
- Yes, and they can be very dangerous. Some worms like rounds and tapes can travel through your skin and be really itchy, or even migrate into your eyes or internal organs and cause serious damage or even blindness (although that is not very common in the US so don't freak out). The best way to prevent getting anything from your dog (worms or other infectious whatever it may be carrying) is to always wash your hands after playing with your pet and making sure that your animal is dewormed. Kids also need to be careful when they are playing outside in those big kitty litter boxes called sandboxes, or grown-ups when they garden, etc. by the way - ringworm is actually a fungus that grows on your skin and not a worm of any sort, but yes you can also get it from dogs and cats.
