Cross Breeds

Are there any dog breeds that are really small cute dogs that are quiet?

I love tiny dogs but hate yappy dogs. I fucking allergic to cats. My face swells up and I can't breathe thank ya very much. I fucking allergic to cats. My face swells up and I can't breathe thank ya very much.

  1. I believe that what you have described here is known as a "cat". This is a breed of dog noted for its relatively flat face compared to other breeds and its unusual penchant for milk.
  2. Smaller dogs are usually "yappier" than bigger dogs. But any dog can be trained and will not be yappy. Some small dogs I like are boston terriers, italian greyhounds, and miniature pinschers.
  3. Coton de Tulear is the dog you are looking for... I just love these dogs! Hope I helped...
  4. i used to have a female pomeranian and she was really quiet and barely ever barked and now i have a male pomeranian and he wont shut up so i think it just depends on the dogs personality.
  5. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel- http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/cavalierkingcharlesspaniel.htm Pug- http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/pug.htm ''
  6. In my experience Maltese terriers tend to be relatively calm and so less likely to be bothered to "yap" but all small dogs are yappy to some extent.
  7. There are tons of small breed dogs. All dogs are cute. As for yappy, that's the result of poor training, lack of exercise, lack of socialization, and lack of intellectual stimulation. Dogs are smart. They need exercise - a tired dog doesn't bark. They need socialization. A dog with friends and activities doesn't bark. Dogs who are well-trained don't behave badly. Dogs who are challenged to think, solve problems, and keep mentally busy will not have the time nor will they care to engage in yappy or other annoying behaviours. Meet your dogs needs and you'll have a happy, well-balanced dog that doesn't need to engage in nuisance or compulsive behaviours.
  8. Well most tiny dogs ARE yappy dogs. Cute - looks are subjective. tons of small dogs out there. Do some real research http://www.akc.org/breeds/toy_group.cfm
  9. Shih tzu are the best they are sweet, cute, kind and quiet. I have one and he is the best dog we have ever had, but there's one thing to keep in mind about Shih tzu they cost $50 each time they get groomed and that's about every 4 to 6 weeks. Don't ever get an animal on a whim pets deserve better than that, they are a lot of responsibility. Good luck.
  10. it just depeneds on the dog! i have a Chihuahua and he is no "yappier" than a big dog.
  11. In the past we had three Min. Schnauzers, two sisters and the first one was a male. The girls were not barkers but the male was yappy and nothing worked to stop it. He always got the last word in, little dog with a big dog attitude. Look into the breed and if you go with one, preferably female, you won't be sorry they are a very good companion. Easy to train and should be and love to be with you. Not high energy, ours loved to go walking and playing with their toys.
  12. get a dog book and look at the toy breeds all dogs need training, exercise, grooming and vet care i prefer papillons
