If we domesticate wild animals, will they adapt to us and make new species of animals?

If we domesticate wild animals, will they adapt to us and form into new species in animal kingdom? We all know that living things can adapt to their sorroundings. So will they adopt to humans and form new species in animal kingdom like wolf adapt to become Dog?

  1. sUCH DOMESTICATION OF WILD ANIMALS IS PREVALENT ALREADY.bUT A NEW SPECIES EVOLUTION FROM SUCH IS IMPOSSIBLE.
  2. Domestication takes TENS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS of selective breeding & culling! NOT a month of training!
  3. Not technically new species, but they might develop different natural behaviours or different structures, though that would take a long time.
  4. Theoretically, but it would take a good deal of time. Some domestic dogs and various kinds of wolves interbreed quite happily when given the chance, but dogs such as Pekingese and other 'toy' breeds are well on the way to being reproductively isolated. Given enough time and divergent selection, we may see domestic dogs split into separate species, at least some of which will then also be separate from Gray Wolves (aka 'wild-type dogs'). Same sort of thing would hold for other domesticated animals. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an official determination on the specific status of any of them, though. It's not likely to happen overnight.
