sled dog racing???????

I am just wounding if you can rent every thing needed to race in the Iditarod and get the training needed??

1. lol, it takes YEARS to train for the Iditarod.. even experienced mushers don't make it through the race.. it is 1112 miles, the fastest person to complete it, was done in 11 days, the longest it took someone to complete it was 33 days...
2. That would be kind of like me (fat, old, out-of-shape smoker) renting a pair of shoes and entering the Boston Marathon. The folks that run the Iditarod LIVE sled dog racing... every day, all day, all year 'round. If you want to do this, first you move to Alaska...
3. The secret to winning the Iditarod is to use chihuahuas for sled dogs! Of course, I am joking, and I hope you are joking too, because if you don't have years of experience and know exactly what you are doing, you will probably get lost and, years later, maybe some hunter will come across a scattering of heavily gnawed bones that used to be you!
