- The funny bone you are referring to is called the humerus bones. In humans, it is a long bone in the arm or forelimb that runs from the shoulder to the elbow. In animals, it is long bone in the arm or fore-legs that also runs from the shoulder to the elbow. So, most vertebrates (animals with an internal skeleton made of bone) will have what you call a funny bone but whether it tickles or not, no one really knows for sure.
