Making this easier for you guys (HORSE for sale)?
I've realized that maybe I'm listing too many horses for you all to evaluate, and that's why I get so little answers, when I know that there are a lot of you (*cough* regulars) who could easily pick apart advertisements and spot flaws in a horse that I didn't see at first glance. SO, I am now going to torture everyone by asking about individual horses. Just kidding. Anyways, please give me your thoughts/opinions on this horse for sale- http://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/horse-ad-1054056.html (I would advise skipping ot 1:08 in the video) Information on me- I'm a training level rider learning the ropes to dressage. I enjoy a challenge, as long as the horse is sane and can take me up a few levels. For those of you who know about Nobu, please do not ask about him. There was a turn of events and we'll probably end up not buying him. Note- I understand the buying process. No need to explain test rides, pre-purchase exams, trial periods, etc. to me. Thanks in advance. @REZIDENT EVIL It never hurts to get a fresh set of eyes to look at a horse. I know very damn well that there are a lot of idiotic answerers on here who have no idea what they are talking about, but luckily I can weed them out, or look at the good in their answers and ignore the bad. Sometimes there are glaring things that I completely miss in a horse because I was rushing, or tired, or whatever the reason. This is my absolute base of my search for horses, and I mean dead bottom. I start here, and make sure I thoroughly checked out the advertisements, and THEN I really start doing the searching. So yes, I know very well how easily bad information is thrown out on this website, and I know that 89% of the time, there is something incorrect in a person's answer. And THEN, there are the great answers that actually help. I'm looking for those. @Holla I plan on trying her out. She looks like she would really suit me. I'll be sure to post a video of us if we do manage to fly out to Cali to see her. I appreciate the helpful opinions in your answer. You basically wrote everything that I had jotted down about her (I keep a record of the horses that I like that I find online), so that I can show them to my trainer. Oops. I meant to put the "so that I can show them to my trainer" in parentheses too. Whoops. Pretend its in parentheses.

- wow beautiful horse! You are a lucky girl!! I would say it looks good, but only you can decided when you go to ride her.
- Ooh goody. I like this horse :) She looks very nice and sane, with a bit of spunk in her. She seems to have a lot of good training on her, and she looks like she is in good shape. She is very springy and looks responsive to all leg and hand cues. Nice mover! To add to that all, she is gorgeous! I love her colour. She has an amazing shine to her coat; someone has taken good care of her. She leg yields well, and is collected and on the bit with fairly light contact. She isn’t making a fuss about holding her head like that, which is great. She is capable of shoulder-in and haunches-in. She uses her hind end well. When asked, she is capable of a nice extended trot. The only thing I don't like conformation wise, is her chest. She appears to have a narrow chest. You may be able to put some muscle on her and build that chest though. I don't know if she does her flying lead changes... whenever a lead change was required, she was brought back to the walk or trot and then asked for the canter again. I would definitely check this one out!
- the truth is...you can post all the horses in the world here...but until you actually go in person to check them out....no one's opinion will matter. stop wasting your time posting and go look at the horses you're interested in. what if you pass up a great horse because you listened to someone's opinion on here? I just don't think you'll get anywhere with this approach. go look in person at the horses and find out for yourself. you're the one who's going to be riding the horse and keeping him/her.
- Conformation looks good from what i can see the pics are not the best. In the video she does not quite track at the walk, the rider is spurring her every step, and I believe they purposely left out flying lead changes. She seems to respond well to aids. I didn't see where she really performed a counter canter. She was still bent the same way so it looked to me like just cantering on the wrong lead. She did well on the shoulder in and the haunches in. The extended trot didn't look as extended as she could be more just sped up. She has a beautiful canter though her trot looks a bit rough. This is all my opinion and I will state that I do not ride dressage. I would rather see a video of you riding her to see how ya'll work together. Hopefully this will help you some. Good Luck on your search. EDIT: there is no reason to be mean or rude. She is simply asking to see if she has missed anything as in a short stride or lameness issue that others might be able to pick up on but she didn't see. Take your rude comments elsewhere they are not needed or wanted here.
- if youre just going to complain about the hs picking apart every horse you list then why bother asking? pick out your own horse if youre going to get one or quit bothering us with stupid questions about a horse you will probably never buy. people do different things with their horses and look for certain qualities, find the one that fits you best, perfect or not in other peoples opinions, and buy it.
- 10,000 for a grade horse is a bit much about $9000 to much. This horse is a cross between a Paint and an Andalusian, very pretty horse. USDF not a breed registry but a federation. She is ineligible for registration, she moves good but does not do laterals at all I was watching the feet of the rider trying to get her to do lateral movements, she does turn when you ask for a lateral. The rider is trying to hide her feet at about 108 and if you keep watching she is applying a lot of bit and spur at the same time indicating this mare is trying to take off with her.Neither the Andalusian registry or the APHA will register this cross.
