Fun things to do with wild horses?
I have six horses, all wild. I dont ride because i dont abuse animals. What are some fun things to do with them?

- First of all, riding isn't abuse. It's trust between a 1000 lb horse and a human, without a common language. And to answer you question, since they are wild, you can't trust them right now, so don't get too close. You could try to give them treats, and see if they will come up to you. I've done this with wild horses in Ireland before. It's going to take a while for them to feel comfortable enough to walk up to you, but once you've done it, it's such a great feeling. BE CAREFUL THOUGH! Don't get behind them, and don't force yourself into their personal space, let them decide when they are ready for you. That is really all you can do right now, start building trust between you, and go from there.
- "don't ride because i don't abuse animals" Hmm.. someones not as knowledgable on equine/human relationships as they may have people think.. To do anything, even just be seen, by wild horses will stress them so in a way is more "abusive" than having a gentle rider. Admittedly, a lot of horse riders are unfair to the horses, but not all, so it is pretty unfair to judge on things that are not only un true, but are often the opposite of abusive.
- if there truly wild you should leav them alone, also riding horses is not abusing them, its giving them something to do, like playing frisbee with a dog, horses love to work and enjoy it. all of my horses have never been abused, they are all broken and ridable. I don't hit or whip my horses, while being broken they were so used to people they went undersaddle quickly with no buck and they learned quickly and love learning more, horse are to smart to be kept at pasture there whole life. in my eyes that's neglect, that like keeping dogs in a cage and never treating th like dogs
- Horse riding done properly isn't abuse so learn what you are on about. Plus if your horses are actually wild then they are not your horses-they are wild animals who will get very stressed and run away if you go anywhere near them.
- There are no wild horses in the Continental US, they are feral. Abuse is a strong word, even PETA doesn't consider animal interactions like riding as abuse. They may use the term Exploitation, but not abuse.
- Wild horses are considered pest's, if they were in australia the horses would be shot from a helicopter- so i would rethink your wording on 'wild horses'
- riding isnt abusing. train them and go trail riding or something
- Riding isn't abuse. It's a partnership, and my horse liked being ridden so much that one day when I didn't ride him he gave our goats rides. Here's a picture for proof: http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v4261/31/32/1679167362/n1679167362_70436_4086250.jpg If your horses are wild, you must not be a very good owner. I know something fun you can do with them: TAME THEM
- Ah god, you're back? You have to be one of my least favourite trolls of all time. But hey, look at the 'mean' answers you're getting so far, maybe Yahoo will send you a check again, and you can piss off. Or, maybe you can go and steal more pictures and claim they're yours. Orrrrr, maybe you'll continue to do the same old trolling where no one is impressed by your bullshit. In case that was too much for your inbred little Whitesburg TN brain, I'll run this down for you again, in an easy to read list form. • Piss Off • Troll more, with the same amount of fail • Cry more, and get nonexistent monies • Go away. • Stop posting slutty pictures on your MySpace, only the creepy old men are impressed. • Don't marry and or procreate with your cousin. Can you understand that, or do I need to slow down and explain it again?
- If they're "wild" wouldn't they be afraid of you? And if they're afraid of you, wouldn't you being around stress them out? Wouldn't knowingly stressing six horses out be worse than riding a tamed, happy horse? Stay away from them.
- Sorry but if you have six horses and they are all wild, I consider that abuse. Horses kept in captivity need things like their feet trimming, teeth rasping and worming and if yours are wild, then you cannot do this - that is not caring for them correctly so, on my terms, that is plain and simple abuse. What would you do it one hurt itself and needed veterinary treatment? Catching that animal and having it handled would cause a lot of trauma to a 'wild' horse to the point of abuse. You have horses and are to ignorant and lazy to take the time and trouble to care for them properly - that is abuse.
- foxhunter they get no vet or farrier care she belives any form of *tack* is abusive to horses even halters and lead ropes so she refuses to put them on a horse. go to her youtube channel you will see horse she had put down in a park becuse she didnt properly care for him and he got so sick she had to euthinize him she also has a video on how abusive all tack is, her horses are suffering from untrimmed feet and unkept teeth im gussing there probly suffering frrom dirty coats becuse she probly thinks brushes are abuse
- Shut up . u imbisal, of a troll. your stuff doesn't even make sense. I dub u "King of the Crack Sniffing Trolls" Now if u dont like that go eat more cheese puffs and suck on ur bottle little baby. *laugh* Come on riding horses are abusive now??? Go to dog sections or something I'm going to change my name to eaither troll police OR i hate trolls. take a pick loser...
- Hahahahahha you're kidding right? These trolls are getting worse and worse. Why would you post that riding is abusing animals when you're in the horse section? Soooo obvious.
