- This section is for real horses not toys.
- Yeah I used to collect them but as I grew older, I found other uses for my money. Not sure if I'll sell them or if I'll keep them to use for display/decoration
- i have a collection that i started when in high school have tried to give away but they keep returning to me as they get older. gave to my grandson and they brought them back a little later.
- yes! i was obsessed with them when i was younger, as soon as i got involved with horses, Barbie went Bye-Bye and the breyer horses took center stage, i still have my breyer horses (most of them, some got chewed by the dog, other didn't make it through the move when we moved out of my old house, and they got smashed in the packing process) but i would like to keep my breyer horses and my thoroughbred, pony pals, and heartland series, so that hopefully someday i will have a few little horse crazy daughters who would enjoy them. but i am 16 now, and they sit on top of my desk, i've got a hutch like think above my desk for extra storage, and they keep me company as i do my homework, or work on the computer, now that i've got my own horse, all my extra money goes towards her, so i don't have that much money to spend on the breyers any more. hope this helps ♥
- I started collecting when i was 5 or 6 years old. My first Breyer was the Bay Arabian Stallion and he cost a mere $7.50! This was in like 38 years ago. I collected then year after year thru gifts and my own money I have collected over 250 models all sizes, I still receive one each Christmas from my mother. I played with my early models and unfortunately scuffed them and broke tails, legs and ears but i have still kept them. They are mostly all packed away in storage because of the great quantity of them but I hope to clear a special room for them. keep collecting! If you are horse crazy like I am you will always appreciate Breyers!
- I started collecting in middles school and am still collecting them going in to college. I don't really play with them but I love the look of them sitting on my many shelves. I probably have around 35 and will continue to collect them when I have a spare penny.
- I've collected Breyer models for a long time, and still do. When I was younger, I would play with them. For the most part now, they are displayed around my room, and I'm happy with just admiring them. Age doesn't matter as far as I'm concerned. You can be young or old! :)
- Dude. Calm it down. lol I used to collect them (and other brands) when I was younger. I was collecting from age 4 to age 11. Then I got a real horse and quit collecting. I had 86 collected. You can be any age. Ones in the box are most valuable, especially if rare. Hope this helps!
- Yes I do(: To me, It really doesn't matter your age. And no but the boxes say Ages 8+ but I don't care :) Girl, whatever you wish for, get it. If this will make you feel better, I know a 17 year old on Youtube [CinnamonMewMew] And she collects Breyers!! Check her out! Edit: I have A TON of Traditionals [they are the only thing I collect now] And I just threw all my Classics in a big box haaaa and they're displayed on my shelf along w/ my Trads. http://www.youtube.com/cinnamonmewmew my account: http://www.youtube.com/theequestrianjumper You can talk to me on youtube about them, just PM me!! :) I'd love to talk to a new person!
- Absolutely! I've collected Traditionals for a few years, and now I have about 150+. If you're in your teens, it is perfectly acceptable to collect them. There are a BUNCH of older collectors who started collecting in the 60's. People shouldn't laugh at you for collecting Breyer horses...some are quite valuable and collector's items. Hope this helps!
- No. I'd rather spend $50+ on a real horse.
- I'm 20. I still get one probably once a year or whatever is gifted to me. I collected alot when I was younger, I have over 100 now. I live in a small apartment and only display a few, but when I get a real place I plan on my significant other to build me some shelves to put around the top of the living room to display them. He likes them so I'm lucky lol. But once I started paying for my own horses when I was 16 I stopped collecting cause I was buying feed, farrier, hay etc. I now 3 real horses, 4 including the bfs I help to take care of. Plus the 4 or 5 that are always here in training.
- I stopped collecting them because they started getting more cheaply made and more expensive. I have about 40 of them...you can be any age to collect anything.
