- Officially they're described as being medium to large cats but it depends so the best way of getting an idea is by looking at how big the parents were. About 41 cm (16 inches) and about 10-15 pounds. You know .. you could of googled this question.
- You heard wrong. While some Bengals may get over 18 lbs, the average is 14-16 for males and the females a bit smaller - they are average to large cats. But not the 20-30 or more lbs that people claim. I never measure height on cats - I go by weight. Keep in mind they are very active cats and don't like being by themselves - they need an active cat or dog to play with if you are not home to entertain them.
- Like Ocimon, they're very average sized. The cats you've seen or heard of were probably just spotted domestics sold as Bengals. There's LOTS of unscrupulous breeders trying to pass off domestics as Bengals. No papers - it's NOT a Bengal. So be sure you buy one from a TICA registered breeder. You're going to spend at least $800 for one. I would also HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY advise going to cat shows and meet breeders and seeing their cats and kittens. I have show cats and see tons of Bengals at shows and I would NEVER want one of these cats. They're WAY too hyper and can be quite aggressive as well. At a recent show I was working as a Ring Clerk and the poor judge I was working with got bitten by THREE Bengal kittens in the same ring! So know what you're getting into before making a decision you'll probably regret.
- Approximately 16".
