Where do racing dogs and horses sleep the night before the race?

When dogs and horses are raced at the race track, where do they sleep the night before the race? At the race track facility, or at the owners estate, or someplace else? Thanks

  1. I never have horses over to my estate the night before a race day because I am afraid they may damage the grapevines. Naaah, I always put them up in the Berkeley Hilton, complete with a nice meal, warm bath, and a massage before they retire for the evening. They always seem to run better by doing this. As far as the dogs go, I haven't a clue, as this is the horse racing category. :- ) Added: HEHEHE :- ) ...Billy Ray "Meikyo"
  2. LOL Billy Ray, you know how to treat'em right! Horses not fortunate enough to be owned by Billy Ray usually sleep in a stall wherever they happen to be stabled - at the racetrack, or nearby training facility or farm. If the training facility is a few hours away, some trainers send their horse down to the track the day before to avoid traffic. Of course, if the track is several hours away, the horse will arrive a couple of days ahead of time - either by van or airplane.
