  1. bengals are mixed with an exotic wild cat. There's different generations, F1, F2, F3 etc. F1 offspring will be different than F4 generations. So it's possible the bengals on youtube are a F1 or F2 and those cats were a more watered down. Or they weren't really bengals in the first place.
  2. It really depends on how much they eat and on their parent's size. I knew someone that had one and it was a pretty small cat, but it all depends on certain genetics and things like that.
  3. Bengals actually tend to be sized closer to normal cats unlike other breeds that are "exotic". I ,however, would seriously consider getting a semi exotic cat. They have a "wild" nature to them and are not completely domesticated.
  4. That Bengal in the first search result that comes up in a Google Images search for "Bengal cat", of a guy holding a Bengal, is definitely bigger than the average one! I have seen a lot of Bengals and they are medium to medium large size cats. Males tend to weigh 9-15 pounds. They might go up to 18. The ones I have seen were later generations but the wild cat in their ancestry, the Asian Leopard Cat, is not a huge cat, I think they are usually under 10 pounds. However maybe some of the early generations come out bigger than either parent? There are also people jumping on the bandwagon and selling Domestic Shorthairs with the spotted tabby pattern as Bengals. If you buy one make sure the parents are registered in TICA. Here is an article about Detemining the Reputability of a Breeder http://www.bengalcatconnection.com/rep.html
  5. LOL! "Pure" Bengals? No reputable breeder would ever call their cats "pure" it's PEDIGREED. And if these people don't have pedigrees for these kittens they are NOT Bengals. There's LOTS of people out there claiming their kittens are something they're not just to get a buck. And if they aren't charging you for them - or charging you very little - well they're just making think you're getting "something" just get rid of these kittens. If you truly want a Bengal go to a TICA show http://ticamembers.org/calendar/ and meet breeders or contact one of the breeders here http://tica.org/public/breeds/bg/breeders.php I'm sure you found these "Bengal kittens" on craigslist or the newspaper, right? http://ticamembers.org/calendar/ And if you're content with a spotted cat that isn't necessarily a Bengal then just go adopt a cat or kitten at your local shelter http://www.petfinder.org
  6. This is where I am getting my boy from in a few weeks www.beckattbengals.com.au when the web site comes up,keep scrolling under neath the menu.Their are many bengals for you to look at,and they are all pedigree and from excellent linage. Then go through and look at the kittens, and parent cats. A thumbs down for giving information on an excellent bengal breeder,so you could compare your friends cats to pedigrees?Did you do that mocha?
  7. Are confusing Bengal TIGERS with the domestic breed called a Bengal? Anyway, the hybrid cats can have quite a bit of variability in size with males generally being larger than females as adults. Some lines (pedigrees) tend to be larger than others as well.
