What are small-medium dogs that have most stamina and speed?

I can`t have large dog, so medium to small dog. I need dogs that can run with me, dogs that can catch up my pace.

1. Border collies are fairly small dogs, and they love to exercise! Personally, i love australian shepherds!
2. How about a Whippet? They love to run.
3. All dogs can catch up to a person who's running... I agree with that first person, I love Aussies and they're great but they're a little bulkier than the other herding dogs. Border Collies are faster than Aussies, but I think Aussies have more lasting power. (Not that it matters, you'll probably be tired long before most dogs.) We've owned ACDs and Australian Kelpies, they're similar and they're not really all that big. -- A "Miniature Australian Shepherd" might be good -- if you're looking for an affectionate dog that will follow you around, enjoys playing with and being around people, highly energetic, fun to train, and they can be fairly laid-back if you're indoors watching a movie; they'd probably 'try' to jump on your lap and sleep. But don't get one if you want a dog you can tie up in the backyard and/or make them sleep outside.
4. I own a mini aussie, and he will go all day long without a break. I think they are a very good breed for someone who wants a small dog that will be able to run with them. They are very agile little dogs, with alot of stamina. They are very affectionate towards their person, and completely devoted.
