What are the illnesses in puppies that do not include fever?

My 8 week old puppy is very sick. She seems to bounce back and forth between energenic and lame. We took her to the vet today and he said that her temperature is normal. What sicknesses in puppies that do not have fever as a symptom?

1. Loads! Structural problems (pain) might cause a slight rise in temperature, but is this puppy sick, as in vomiting and diarrhoea, or lame? An injury would not cause a fever for example. If this is going on, get her back to your vet for a further diagnosis. Or speak to her breeder!!
2. If you are not comfortable with your vet's diagnosis find a new vet. unless your dog has a fever and/or vomiting or diarrhea, then she is probably fine. Puppies sleep about 22 hours a day with small bursts of energy in between.
