  1. German Shepherds
  2. Miniature poodles are the smartest dogs golden retriever's collies, working and sporting dogs really. german Shepard's, you know, those type of breeds.
  3. there is no such dog breeds in this world, those that u see in obedience competitition, owners spent time training their dog. U get a obedient dog only whn u spend time bonding and traning it.
  4. Its got to be a labrador hasn't it, they are very intelligent, with a laid-back temperament. I have a Lab and a terrier and they get along fine, the terrier can do as she pleases, the lab just doesn't care. very easy going but very intelligent and easy to train.
  5. Standard Poodle - trust worthy - easily trained - guard dogs (to an extent) - easily looked after this breed has proven to be the smartest breed out of all dogs, with collie 2nd and GSD 3rd
  6. If you want a dog that is easy to train, and is also a big dog. Get a German Sheperd, they learn fast. They also develop intelligence naturally on their own. Thats why cops use them in almost every country. But mind you, healthwise they need more attention.
  7. Everyone thinks their own dog is the smartest. I do! I've had many dogs for many happy years, and my experience is that the smart dogs also are often the more difficult to train, as they have a strong will and their own mind. Many of these breeds are also quite highly strung and require breed specific training techniques. My pet dogs now include a lurcher- not to bright but a lovely gentle girl, easy to train with lots of patience, treats and praise. A Jack russel terrier- Bloody minded, beligerent and very strong willed. A lot of patience and time and praise, but she is very loyal very obedient and very protective of me, and makes me laugh so much. I also have a malamute collie mix- would not recomend as first dog. very clever (mals and collies are both in top ten most intelligent, as are russel terriers) very independant, very active and not safe to let off lead, as Mals. have a strong prey drive and poor re-call. Collies and Mals need a huge amount of excercise. Look up 'most intelligent dog breeds' on google. Once you have an idea of what dog you want, read everything you can about the breed, including whether it is prone to breed related illnesses and genetic defects, as many pedigrees are, decide if it is a suitable dog for you, if not, keep searching. Many rescues have so many dogs dumped on the by owners who brought them because of there beautiful looks for eg huskys, then found themselves unable to cope with said dog. These rescues will let you foster a dog for a few weeks to find out if it is the right pet for you. Maybe you should not rule out the option of a rescue dog. Hope this is helpful, good luck on finding your perfect best buddie
  8. Border Collies
  9. A dog's success at obedience is dependent on its owner's ability & commitment to consistently train it. The breed that is best suited to a person will depend upon their expectations of the dog, lifestyle, experience/aptitude for dog training & temperament. Research will identify the purebreds that are a good match between what the person wants & can cope with in a dog, & what the breeds needs from a home. The Kennel Club has brief descriptions of the type of work a breed was created to do & its innate characteristics, & from there you can draw up a shortlist of breeds for further research & contact the relevant breed clubs. Breed clubs are an excellent source of information & will not sugar coat the reality of owning the breed they have in depth knowledge of.
  10. Try a Standard Poodle...they are very smart, easy to train and large. Any dog that is trained, exercised and socialized will had less bad habits. I currently own a Rat Terrier and she is a wonderful dog. I am a large dog person and never thought I would own a small dog. Her temperament is great and she was easily trained.
  11. Here's the list of the 10 smartest dogs; http://www.petmedsonline.org/top-10-smartest-dogs-in-the-world.html As a competition obedience trainer, the ones I see winning in the high titling rings are Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, Labs and shelties. These are the easiest dogs to train for those looking to get the best scores and high titles. I've trained Miniature Schnauzers, Collies, Westies and Shelties, and all were fun, but the Shelties learned the quickest by far, and were the most eager to work with me.
  12. How many times are you going to ask this same exact question? Try a labrador retriever
  13. Border colly
  14. Yorkshire Terriers are truly unique in both their small size and their big personalities. They are known for the intelligence and ability to figure things out. This comes from their amazing. They are relatively easy to train but require consistency otherwise they will quickly learn bad habits.
