funny cat video about cats falling over with a leg paraylisis?

2. it is not funny. it is a genetic defect called myotonia congenita. I recently had a litter of 3 fosters that all had a mild form of myotonia. They, like the darling kittens in the video, also died. I just lost the last one exactly one week ago when she was 3 months old. She was perfectly healthy aside from her birth defect but she had a seizure where all of her muscles contracted and she went into respiratory arrest and died within a minute. It is extremely rare and almost always fatal. The muscles hyper-contract and then do not relax and remain contracted, thus preventing breathing and sometimes the heart from beating as the heart is also a muscle. anyways here is the video. the poor darling kittens died right after this video was shot. oh and it is a variation of the same genetic condition that causes fainting goats to "faint". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CC_9aFuEkA
