  1. Yes. His daughter Lady's Secret was U.S Champion Older Filly and Horse of the Year in 1986. She was inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame in 1992. Secretariat's son RIsen Star won the Preakness and Belmont Stakes in 1988, and won the Eclipse Award that year as Champion 3-year-old Colt. Secretariat was also the sire of a number of other graded stakes winners. He is also the broodmare sire of Storm Cat, A.P. Indy, and Gone West. Each is a stakes winner, and each is an influential sire, broodmare sire, and sire-of-sires.
  2. FLOYD MAYWEATHER, ACCORDING TO MANNY PACQUIAO'S FANS.
  3. In addition to the horses that Laura mentioned, I also want to mention the show jumper Quantum Leap, who was also sired by Secretariat. There's another sport horse stallion named Statesman who is also noteworthy- he was and is a dressage horse. What makes him unique is that he is out of a Percheron mare. Still another son of Secretariat is D'Accord, who was a graded stakes winner. BTW: There's nothing wrong with these other horses I mentioned. Just because they aren't or weren't racehorses is no reason to give me thumbs down, people. I actually got to watch Quantum Leap in action a few times- he was a phenomenal jumper. I've also seen photos of some of Statesmans' wins in both the dressage and hunter rings- and he went on to become a successful sire of warmblood performance horses. His get are quite popular as show hunters, in fact. Not all horses, even horses which are children of a Triple Crown winner, are suited to be racehorses or stakes winners. That's like saying that all kids are going to be president of the United States one day. Only a few ever make it that far- and the same is true with horses.
  4. As a sire, Secretariat was successful but not phenomenal, siring his best runners later in his stud career. The 1979 Travers Stakes winner and successful sire General Assembly; 1986 Horse of the Year Lady's Secret; 1992 and the 1988 Belmont and Preakness. Stakes winner Risen Star are among his best offspring. His daughters have produced the champion Chief's Crown and the classic winning half brothers A.P. Indy and Summer Squall. He sired as many as 699 foals during his retirement. To elaborate further: His blood flows through many notable racehorses including 2004 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner, Smarty Jones. He was also a noted broodmare sire being the broodmare sire of 1992 HOY and successful sire A. P Indy. Secretartat's grandson through his daughter Weekend Surprise, who was sired by another Triple Crown winner, Seattle Slew. A.P. Indy is the sire of the 2007 Belmont Stakes winner Rags To Riches, the first filly to win the race at Belmont since 1905. Secretariat is also the dam-sire of Storm Cat through hihs daughter Terlingua, and excellent race mare, and of Gone West, through his daughter Secrettame. Secretariat..One of a kind.. :)
