When can puppies start eating puppy food?
My puppies are 2 weeks old. I don't think their mother has enough milk for them anymore.

- whenh their 5weeks old!
- If you don't think she's providing enough milk, you need to contact your vet. They need to nurse for two more weeks, and if she can't do it you get to.
- I'd take them to the vet. They need their mother's milk. If they aren't getting it, they need to be bottle-fed around the clock. Are they gaining weight? I'd definitely take them into the vet.
- You can buy milk for puppies at vet stores and some supermarkets, my dogs almost 4 months and I still give him some puppy milk.
- you should be weighing them twice a day (morning and night) and keeping track. each puppy should gain a little each day. If they are not you need to get puppy milk replacement formula and supplement with bottle feedings. You can start weaning them to mash (puppy kibble soaked in warm water) at about 3 1/2 weeks old. If you have not clipped their nails, do that. Also starting at 2 weeks of age mom and pups should be wormed every two weeks until they go home at 8 weeks of age. Additionally as long as our bit** is nursing, she should be allowed to eat as much as she wants.
