What is an easy way to find horses for sale in my area?

I havent exactly convinced my parents to buy me a horse yet, but I am hoping that showing them some horses will help convince them. where can I find horses in my area for sale? are there any websites were you can enter your zip code or will they be in the paper?? any advice is welcome. its important to me :)

1. There should be a section for them in the classifieds. You can also type "horses for sale" in google and the first few sites will let you search by location. See a horse isn't going to convince your parents. The reality of how much they cost and how time consuming they are to care for is their main concern. You may just have to wait until you are on your own.
