How can we prevent the extinction of any endangered animals, such as the kiwi?
How can we help to save precious creatures from dying out, like the Siberian Tigers, the kiwi, etc.?

- Ah - that is a question scientists and conservationists have been asking for years. There are lots of theories and ideas on how to TRY to do it. If you want to help, train for or get a job in one of those areas. GL
- Lock them all up in a safe room and throw away the key. HA! That'll teach the globalisation sympathisers.
- Kill all the rats in NZ
- Isn't a kiwi a fruit?
- Well to be honest there probably is not a lot we can do. It is down to governments to secure and stop the hunting of these animals (or if you have the cash you could probably start your own zoo!) but it must be hard to police these areas and catch the illegal hunters. Extinction is a horrible thing - whats even more sickening are the people who do the killing for illegal fur trades etc.
- 1. Preserve their native habitats (that means preserving enough land for the space the large animals of the area need) For example large cats are estimated to need a roaming area of 100 square miles. 2. Stop the hunting of the endangered animal, by men and introduced predator species. 3. Limit the number of competitors for the same resources of the endangered animal. 4. Find ways to improve genetic diversity in limited populations.
