Tons. 12) In the winter. In the summer we keep him at home- But we don't have an indoor arena, so in the winter we have to board. 1) Saddle. Lele's withers are SUPER prominent. 2) Ring. I can worry about terrain on XC. 3) English 4) Showing! 5) Warmblood, totally. We also have Trakehners, and I'd take one of them to a downhill QH any day. 6) Leather. It looks better, and besides- Your horse's neck breaks before Nylon does. The things are not only tacky, but dangerous. 7) Jumping. 8) Horses. Height helps. 9) Forestier Dover? TB, or an Anglo-Warmblood of any type. 1) I would put it towards a fund for a barn, or maybe a young, warmblood prospect....I doubt my horse would see much of it lol. 2) I like Becky Holder, but I have met her and ridden with her for several years, so that's why lol. A leather halter, a dressage saddle, endurance saddle, a western saddle, and either a jumping saddle or all purpose. A bitless bridle, a surcingle, boots (bell boots, cavallo simple boots, sport boots, mayb some othe ones) treats, some kind of jolly snack things for the winter for when he goes in a stall at night. A winter blanket that fits well (he's grown since last winter and I don't know if his blanket is going to fit right this year) a bareback pad. More saddle blankets ( I have a big western one that needs to be folded over to use, and he LOVES it. He gets really excited when I take it out) ground poles, cavalletties (or matierials for me to make my own.) I'd get him some kind of big grooming bag type things, just to put things in for him to play with. He loves sticking his head in mine and pulling out brushes to try to hand to me or throw around. Stuff for him to play with, he's very playful and curious. (Is this under $10 thousand, I wasn't keeping track. I just put things as they came to mind.) When you ride him bareback and bridleless, if you can't get him to stop, reach down around the base of his neck and squeeze his chest and he'll flex his neck then stop. It's super funny because we didn't actually expect it to work the first time, and it has ever since! I'm trying to teach him to stop without me needing to do that, but it's taking a lot of practice... 8) How long have you had your horse? I've been leasing him since Februrary this year. 9)How long have you been riding? Coming onto 7 years 10)Markings? One tiny little star, one tiny little spot on his right hind coronet 11)Do you show? Yep, both schooling shows and 4-H shows :) someday we might do rated ones, but I don't show THAT seriously. 12) Do you board your horse? Yes, he belongs to my trainer and I lease from her, so he lives at the barn where she works/I take lessons. It works perfeclty :) Would You rather? Bareback or Saddle? On Sabor: saddle (he's SUPER bony), on a fat comfy horse: bareback for sure. Field or Ring? I've only ever ridden in a ring, but a field sounds fun :) English or Western? I'm better at English, but I'm starting to really enjoy learning Western. If I had to pick one, though, I'd go with English. Trail Riding or Showing? Both are so much fun! I can't pick just one! Leather halters are nice, and safer, but I'm so used to the nylon ones it would be weird to switch to leather. Besides, you can keep a nylon halter hanging out by the field in all weather, and you can't with a leather one. (It's a rule at our barn that you have to have an easy-to-access halter out by every horse, in case of emergency, and 90% of our horses live outside 24/7.) Jumping or Barrel Racing? I typically school western, because my horse needs the consistency there. But we show in both, and HUS is actually his strength. Trail Riding or Showing? showing Warmblood or Stock Horse? stock horse Nylon Halter or Leather? Nylon for basic barn use, because they come in fun colors and I can put his name on them...ha. If I showed in halter or showmanship, I'd use a leather halter (with silver). I don't turn out in one. Jumping or Barrel Racing? Jumping--used to do jumpers, and Zip does know how to jump. For bigger stuff, it just depends. 3) Breed? Well, I show AQHA, so I guess QH is kind of a necessity. But I wouldn't say that it's always going to be my favorite. At the moment, I would buy my own (small, bumper pull, probably used) trailer so that I could quit relying on my mother or someone from my barn to haul him. It was fine when I lived at home and he was at home, but now that I board, it's not as convenient. I wouldn't complain if I had an even better show saddle, either, but mine isn't bad and usually I can borrow my mom's for bigger shows (it's much nicer). He also needs a winter blanket, and I'm thinking I need one of the $10,000 variety just so it'll last through one winter! 2) If you could meet any Famous equestrian rider who would it be? I don't really care, unless they plan to help me or train my horse :).
