What tips do you have for a new english bulldog puppy?

I just got a new puppy that's almost two months old and she is an english bulldog. She always wants to go to sleep and when i want to sleep she's awake all night. Tips? Also, does anybody have any kind of tips? Just a bunch of tips about anything that has to do with puppies, please. Thanks.

  1. My tip: Get tips about puppies BEFORE you get a puppy.
  2. your going to need to keep her wrinkles cleaned out on a daily basis, because they collect moisture and can get nasty. keep her nail cut short every 2-3 weeks. socialize her ALL the time. As for the night thing, she may just have her days and nights mixed up lol. Keep her busy during the day that way she will sleep at night.
  3. Well of course someone has to be there to keep her awake during the day. you should walk her feed her early in the day and keep her watering during the day too in order to train the dog to use the outdoors to go potty. I gotta tell ya my daughter just got one and what a delightful pup it is.
  4. I don't know a whole lot about Eng Bulldogs but I will give you the advice I gave my lil sister when she got one... ~Clean the wrinkles as they are prone to bacterial infections. ~Don't allow her to do full flights of steps or do much jumping until she is more mature as it is hard on joint development. Esp with a breed that tends to have probs in that area ~Invest in a martingale type collar. Due to the short heavy neck this breed will slip a collar pretty easy. DO NOT tie out on this type of collar. As she gets older if you must tie out use a harness. Notice the 3rd one??? My sister failed to heed this advice. Her pup at 8mos old had an accident in the house so my sis tied her dog out quick to clean it up. First time she had ever tied the dog out. She used a normal nylon buckle collar and the pup had the leashed wrapped around the porch leg once...then decided to go up the porch and jump off the side. Her 2500 puppy was found moments later struggling for her life, eyes bulged and hardly breathing. $2000 later the pup came out of ICU however due to oxygen deprivation is a bit "retarded" So even tho you think that you will never tie your pup I would certainly be super cautious of this sort of thing ~ Bulldogs tend to overheat easily. The risk is greatly improved when it is hot and humid. Tips for nightime playing haha. Crate train is top of that list. Make sure she is tired before bedtime by playing with her etc and going out for a potty break prior to kenneling. Google crate training as it is a very good method of housebreaking.
