Where is "sin to paint pictures of animals and people" from?

this is a new question, I deleted my last one because SOME PEOPLE were being immature In History/English we were learning about something about it is a sin to paint pictures of animals and people but I can't remember where that's from, please help Don't be immature about this, I need an educated answer

1. muslims don't paint picture of people or animals, only designs
2. It's either from Judaism or Islam. The strictest teachings of either hold that it is a sin to make any form of image.
