Why did God put stars in the heavens so that they formed pictures of animals and other things?

- God isnt real.
- Yes. Also, the world is flat; the Earth is the center of the Universe, and the heavenly dome is actually made of Aether.
- Um, no. The human mind is wired to find patterns in almost everything. That's why clouds sometimes look like things.
- for fun :) or maybe he didnt
- lol
- He didn't. Man just connected the dots and made his own constillations...as well as God, btw.
- they DONT form pictures.... of ANYTHING.
- Because when he was young he wanted a Connect the Dots and didn't get one. 8>}
- The same reason the "Virgin" Mary periodically appears in grilled cheese sandwiches, you have an overactive imagination.
- He didn't. Have you ever looked at a constellation and seen a picture? Constellations were invented by people being bored and imaginative.
- So that his Children can connect the dots then colour in the picture
- And how old are you?
- Because he thought it would amuse us humans for a few hundred years. It did, but now we've moved on.
- Your talking about Zeus, right?
- ummm...well people just like making connections. We're overly creative you see...we just can't stand not having things click in place. Has nothing to do with God.
- 'For signs' and of the seasons. That means astrology is no sin nor of the devil.
- well you see i just wanted you guys to enjoy the night sky
- hmm never taught about it. Maybe to send us a message?
- god did not do that.u could throw marbles on the floor and somehow see a bunnie rabbit. does that mean "god" made that happen. u can see shapes in carpet, clouds, stars, any pattern and almost any THING.
- To fulfill scripture..... Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands
- To entertain people like you(:
- LMAO, I haven't heard this question in a lonnng time. There is no design of forms called constellations, or imaginary connections between stars, till we make them.
- This is a joke lol, the human mind is just creative with its imagination. The stars are also there to help read the time because that's how astrologers used to tell the time, take the northern star as an example. That's when the three wise men came from the east to see the baby Jesus.
- yea your god isnt real you could get on your knees and pray to ieasharthwih every night and you would get the same amount of stuff you would get if you prayed to god but as far as your question goes i would say its coincidental because there are so many stars in between
- @:"Why did God put stars in the heavens " THE STARS MAKE-UP HIS DIAMOND CROWN. HALLELU 'YAH! AMEN. @:mobiledj; Sorry; thumbs down by mistake. Great answer.
- Humans pictured them they are just there. There are even loads os stars there that we cannot see. Billions and billions of stars are out there with Billions of galaxies(each containing billions of stars) So imagine what else could be there ??? :O
- Well reguardless of what he did or didnt do many cultures have different views of constelations. For example the constalalation orion dose not exist in native american view of the stars as fart as I know. I think the shapes they form are purely man made. Although if you believe in god you could argue that he created the stars himself. Maybe just for the heck of it. Who knows.
- He didn't.... the shapes you see are in your mind and imagination, just as shapes in clouds...
- it wasn't intentional; they fell out of the kit that way.
- God put the stars in the sky to light the night and illustrate certain points. The constellations that are formed are purely perceptive; they look like what we as humans make them. Other than light, in the past, they've helped with navigation, and the names were merely to help explorers remember and identify common shapes.
- The notion that the stars in the sky form pictures of animals or other objects comes from the human imagination. The stars are just there; we're the ones who perceive shapes and patterns in them. (If you don't believe me, look at some of the constellations, and tell me that Leo doesn't look more like a vacuum cleaner than a lion.)
- Man found patterns/pictures in the stars... but "God" didn't strategically place them this way. *pats on the head*
- God created the constellations. He created every star and knows them by name. Certain animal species migrate according to the stars. See Job 9;9. See also Job 38;32.
