- It means she used to be a race horse! All race horses (even Quarter Horse race horses) are tattooed! I don't believe there is a website for finding out her past... Sorry!
- There's Q.H racing, and they get tattooed also, but she would have to be registered, i haven't heard of anyother reasons for tattooing tho...
- They do have quarter horse racing, in which the horse still gets a tattoo. http://www.equibase.com/, you can enter the tattoo number, and find out about the races it ran in, trainers, owners, jockeys, etc.
- there are also QH races, thats why theyr called quarter horses, they can run insanly fast for a quarter of a mile, they could even beat a TB in a short distance. also trot races (usually standardbreds) get lip tattoos
- Although lip tattoos are commonly used on American TBs for identification purposes, really it can be done with any horse of any breed. Just another means of identification- In other countries, actually, racehorses are tattooed differently- My horse is an OTTB from NZ, and he just has extensive tattoos on his shoulders rather than a lip tat.
