How to get a smell out of stuffed animals?

I moved a few months ago, and I packed any stuffed animals I had in a big garbage bag. Once I took them out, they smelled like the bag! All plasticy.. It makes me gag. How can I get the smell out?

1. Air them out, for one. Put them by a big sunny open window for a few days, maybe mist the whole pile with a little febreze once or twice. Stuffed animals tend to absorb the smells around them, as you found out. So try surrounding them with things that smell good. Air fresheners couldn't hurt!
