Is it normal for shih tzu puppies to breed very fast and heavily while they sleep?

1. breath you mean? And sometimes it can be normal if they are dreaming. My dog's whole body spasms and he huffs and puffs when he's chasing something or is scared while he's asleep.
2. Hello. I'm assuming you meant "breathe!" Yes..I believe this is normal. I have a shih tzu and when he was a puppy, his breathing almost sounded like a struggle but he was fine. Their little snouts are so small, they do work a bit harder, which is why it is so important to keep them out of heat and not run them beyond their limits.
3. YES.. Many dogs do this while they dream. Its fine. It can almost be like a person snoring.. Its all good..
4. Yes, and just like us your dog may even snore. Its really quite entertaining when you think about it. Relax. Don't worry. Enjoy the music that your dog is making.
