how am i able to identify my horses brandings?

i just bought a 5yo thoroughbred ex race horse with no papers and would like to know a little bit more about her. on her left shoulder she has the markings 377 (the 3 basically looks like a sideways M though) and on her right shoulder she has a 3 above a 4. any information anyone has for me is much appreciated (:

1. left shoulder is the breeder or stud mark and the 3 above 4 is her age, she was the 3rd born to that breeder or at that stud and the year was 2004 . You may be able to look up the left shoulder mark to find out breeding. ask at your vets or something like that
