Cross Breeds

What is your dream horse?

Just for fun :) If you could have any horse from the past, present or future. Is there a famous horse that you wish you owned? If not, what breed? Height? Discipline? Age? Color? Name? I would probably have Regret, since she was the first filly to win the Kentucky Derby. I think she is definitely a major horse in the horse racing history. I would probably also want Mine That Bird, as I was hoping and hoping he would win. As far as my "dream" horse goes, I already have her. 17.1hh Thoroughbred, Fleabitten Grey, Eventer, Dressage, H/J. But another horse I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to have would be a Percheron x TB. Around 17-18hh, for dressage. I had a percheron before and I just love them :) But a percheron x TB would be the best :)

  1. I would LOVE an Irish Sport horse, 15.3hh, Gelding, Jet black :] I would call him Rocky or Trigger, for eventing :D
  2. Clinton Anderson's horse Diez! I love that horse! Here's a picture of him: http://equisearch.com/horses_riding_training/training/general/longeing_respect_changing_directions_1.jpg and his breeding stallion Jag: http://www.itib.com.au/owner/files/rk13ec672k.jpeg
  3. Oh gosh I have so many! I would love a 15.1-15.2hh Norwegian Fjord. (yes they get the tall, but it's rare) gelding. I used to have one but all in all he went crazy and there's just a long story. But I would like it to be a hunter/ dressage horse. I would also like black overo with a bald face that has a blue eye. Is killer at western pleasure and huntseat and does everything perfectly, 16hh or taller would be ideal. Lean not stocky. Then the last one would be a grullo colored appy X Arabian. with a small specks on her haunch, four white stocking and a blaze and is also a great english/ western horse. I am aware that this color doesn't happen, but one can dream. 15.2hh or taller.
  4. like you said. as far as my dream horse goes, i already have her. any horse i get will be my dream horse because horses mean everything to me. and also, i'm very lucky to have parents help me out for paying the board for Honeybee. but, if i had to say a different horse, i would say a big, jet black Arabian mare/stallion. 16.3h, named (mare)- Belle (stallion)- Thunderbird. he would only be 3 years old and love to go on trails and ride bare back down hills. also, i would like to have the same horse description but only i would also like another Walkaloosa or a Morgan or a Fresian. Happy Trails!
  5. I wanted Mine that Bird to win too, since he came all the way out from New Mexico, where I spent most of my childhood. :3 I can't understand why people still trash that horse. But, it doesn't really matter what they say. He won the Kentucky Derby, and then he came in second Preakness, and third at the Belmont. And I doubt any of these people that trash him can ever claim to own a horse who has done just that. ;P I can't wait for him to start racing again. I hope I get to see him at the Breeders Cup this year, since it's going to be in Kentucky, especially since he seemed to like Churchill downs. My dream horse would be a 17.2 or taller Shire gelding trained in Dressage. Dark bay or black, I'm not that picky there, and I would want him to have the tall white socks, and a symmetrical blaze that's not too wide.
  6. I have 2 favorites. One is a Geilding named Harley, brown with socks and pink on the nose. He was 6 and he got sold. The other one was a mare, Georgia not sure how old, brown with white socks again
  7. My dream horse would be pretty much the current horse I have, a 9-year-old 16.1 TB gelding (eventer) who is as sweet as sugar. However, the dream horse would have a shorter back, thicker legs, and not be as darn prone to spooking at my TB is. My uber-dream horse would be a Trakehner gelding, around 16.2 or taller, who can really zip around the XC courses. And is of course totally spook-proof, and as black as pitch. XD It's fun to dream, isn't it?
  8. dutch warmblood/TB/saddlebred gelding. dapple gray with a black mane and tail. 16-17hh. young for eventing and hacking. i dont have that horse but i would like it. my teacher has a horse with the same breed and he is amazing!
  9. OHHH sooo hard to! I have few! First one.... 15.3-16.2 hh Quarter Horse Mare Light Blueroan with a Bald Face, 4 white stockings, long medium thickness mane and tail. With a medium stocky build. Not to stocky but not to raily. 15.2-16.1 hh Quarter Horse Gelding light blue roan OVERO paint, with no blue eyes and long mane and tail. Quarter Horse G or M that is a LIVER chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail.
  10. I have a few, the first one is mine. A bay overo four-year-old gelding with a half white face and spots on his belly and hind stockings, only ideally he'd be a bit less of a spazz butt than Tucker is. ;) The other would be a big stocky QH stallion, blue roan, and that did dressage. I know it's kind of weird, but I LOVE seeing big round stock-type horses do dressage, it's almost so weird that it's pretty to me. :P I have no idea what I'd name him, but i've dreamed of him ever since I was little. To go with the blue roan (just to be his buddy) I'd want a docile old little Fjord gelding named Henry. Another dream horse would be a grey blanket App gelding named Jax. :) Also dreamed up a big dapple grey TB mare (this was the mare I nearly bought before I got my colt) that would do all around English stuff, HUS, jumping, English Pleasure, etc, and I'd call her Annie. :)
