Are some cats naturally fat or can I control that?

I see some cat pictures and some of them are either too fat or too skinny, can I control the way they look, I think I'gonna adopt a domestic Shorthair.

1. You CAN controll they way they look, by their diet. Some cats are very small, then there are big boned cats, and large cat breeds
2. Yes, some are naturally fat and some are fed too much. You can control it by feeding them healthy foods and exercising them to some degree... obviously. I had a black and white male cat (specific breed unknown) that was fat. But I fed him normally just like the others. I have a female tabby cat (specific breed unknown), and shes skin and bones. I feed her every day and I've wormed her too. I guess she's just skinny.
3. You can control it! I cat should never be too fat or too skinny. After you adopt your kitty take it to a vet and discuss what would be best for your kitty. When buying cat food always look at the ingredient list. Stay away with foods that have corn (in any form) listed as one of the top three ingredients. Also try to stay away from meat biproducts and preservatives. I have switched my cats to an organic brand called Blue Buffalo ( I get it from petsmart) but the shelter I work for uses Nutro another great brand. Good luck and thanks for deciding to adopt!
4. 1 of my cats was naturally fat. but the other fat one got fat by staying in all night while the other 3 are outside, and eating all of the food!!! lol. but yea you can just not feed them too much. the right amout. i actually like fat cats cuz their funner to play with and watch them walk cuz their fat wobbles from side to side. lol
