Cross Breeds

What can I apply to my dogs paws before she runs on snow?

I have a 10 month old boxer female who used to run fine on snow until I noticed her paws were bleeding after a long day at the dog park that was covered in snow. I have another boxer puppy and they need to get their exercise. She now tippy toes on the snow and looks very uncomfortable when she tries to run, Why is this and what can I do to get her back to running? Ive heard Vaseline but idk. Thanks!!

  4. vaseline and doggie booties, and a day or 2 of rest to heal.one or two days without exercise will be alright.
  5. If your dog's paws were bleeding, she has injured them. It will probably take a few days to recover. She will start running again when her feet don't hurt--forcing her to exercise will only make the skin more raw and increase the time required to heal.
