What breed(s) is my dog?

I have an 8 month old puppy. His name is Oliver, Ollie for short. I've had him for about 4 months. The shelter told us that he was Jack Russel. But since then he has grow much larger, almost double in size and weight. Compared to a Jack Russell now, he is more then twice the size of one. People have told me Beagle, but I just want to figure out what he is. It doesn't hurt to ask. He is great with other dogs, but he does have small dog syndrome. He's also great with children even at such a young age. He does well with my cat. My cat just doesn't do well back. He hardly ever barks, just when we leave the house and when we get back. He does enjoy running around but has his days where all he wants to do is lay around. He's about 25 to 30 pound. He's about 16 inches from ground to spine. A stub of a tail that doesn't show signs of a bob. And floppy ears about the size of a (girl) hand.   6. It might be a Jack Russel Terrier, or a beagle, if nobody knows really it is considered a mutt, because is might be a mixture of different dogs, it might not be one breed, maybe many, so not a designer dog. So yeah it is a mutt.

  15. He deff has some Jack Russel in him. He looks like a Jack Russel!! I had a Jack-A-Poo Pom. Which is Jack Russel Pom Poodle mix. Your dog is so cute. You could ask the vet what they think?
  16. I can see why they thought Jack russell. If you hadn't told me his size, I would have thought Jack Russell or some other kind of terrier. He might still be, just crossed with a larger breed giving him the jack russell markings on a larger body. He is VERY cute!
