What Do You Guys Think About This Horse I Might Buy?....Please Help...(Pictures)!?

Ok so I know i done asked this question with the same horse but i have more pictures of him now so please help me. It's a beautful Quarter horse Gender- Gelding Age- 8 years old Height- 15.1 Registered- Yes (AQHA) Color- Sorrel Markings- White Star Trained- In Western and (Trail's, Ride's bareback, and knows some to barrel race) She is only is asking $500.00 dollars for him and she said he is kind of laid back horse she said he will do anything you ask. He was ridden in a bossily, but she put him in the bit a month or two ago and she said he didn't mind it at all and will ride in it and doesn't care. She said he's been on 3 hour long trial rides; 10 mile long trail rides and does great. She also said her 8 year old daughter rides him around in the arena and in the pasture field around other horses and he doesn't mind at all. Here are some pictures of him he's name is Rebel- http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/zz203/CowgirlUp_94/Picture202007-200820293.jpg http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/zz203/CowgirlUp_94/Untitled.jpg http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/zz203/CowgirlUp_94/Picture202007-200820289-1.jpg Ok so now you saw him what do you think of him? I just want him now for trail riding and then latter on about in two years i want to barrel race with training of course for me and him. Do you guys think he would he be good for barrel racing? Or what about showing or cutting? Doe's he have good conformation for this? I think he doe's, but i think he needs more muscle built up before he could be really fast for barrels. What do you guys think? Thanks for answering! ;) Also I know lot's of questions, but i got to ask them. Also 500.00 where i live is a lot of money and it's pretty good on my part for a well broke registered quarter horse because i can't aford 1000.00 and 1000.00 of dallors for a horse. So just if you guys where woundering about the price and it being so low. Thanks again for answering i really aperateit. lol ;) Edit- Am going tomorrow to see him and ride him. To me he's a very pretty horse, but i'm going to be very cations because i've beened burn to many times when it comes to horse. But thanks for answering and i will update my question either tomorrow or staurday after i see him and ride him i'm not really sure on him for some reason, but we will see. Thanks!

  1. You better buy him before i do lol. hes gorgeous!
  2. Wow! He's beautiful! and could definitely go far in anything you ask him to! Wonderfull horse and okay conformation! He looks great!! Best Wishes=]
  3. Personality wise, he sounds great and very willing. Though since he's laid back, you'll probably have to get a spur on him for barrel racing. Conformation-wise, I couldn't tell completely. Something bothers me about his neck, not the length, just the way it's built. His back end is built up VERY well, I think he just needs to build up his front end more. His neck is good length, though he does have a longer back than some horses, which might make tough for tight turns for barrel racing. Ride him before you buy him. Does he do well? Canter him a lot, and ask him to extend his stride. See if he can be fast when he wants to, and his feel. I think the price is GREAT. You couldn't get a horse for that much where I live. He's probably be about 1500 where I live. If you buy him, just work uphill a lot (forward trot, cantering), and then begin with barrel racing training. Good luck!
  4. He is a nice looking horse, but would like to see what he does under saddle, could be a completely different horse. Because kids can sit on him and he went on a trail tide is not saying much, But he may be ok, have him vet checked for soundness, and see him ridden with a saddle.
  5. The first thing I noticed was that this horse, from the muscle build up has been going very hollow. He has no muscle along his top line which indicates to me that he has more than one misalignment somewhere. He also looks miserable, not just because his ears are not pricked but just miserable in the eyes which I would say is from the above. I agree with Ron Snr. that I would want to see him ridden.
  6. He looks good! Confirmation is great! When buying a horse always, always, ALWAYS get a vet check, I am sure you know that.As training for barrel racing he looks like he would be perfect! Best of Luck! getting a vet check costs lots of money but it is worth it becuase you don't want to be stuck with a horse that is very injured and costs lots of money! good luck
