Best dog breed for me?

I'm 16 and my mom told me I could get a dog, now that I can drive it places and take care of it. I'm wondering what type of dogs are ideal for me. We have an averaged size house and I can exercise it for over an hour a day. Money isn't a big deal when it comes to food and vet, etc. Also, I live near the beach, so the dog should like water. Trait wise, I'd like it to be pretty energetic and loyal, as well as easily trainable. It's not our first dog, so we can handle troublesome dogs. Purebreds or an ideal mutt would be fine. Please include pictures. P.S. I like big dogs, like labs. I'm not a huge fan of small dogs.

  2. Think about a german shepherd. They're one of the smartest and most loyal breeds, many of them love water and the beach! They also love to play!
  3. Black labs. Cant stay outta the water! Plus, very loyal, energetic, and very smart. easy to train, but recommend starting at a young age with the training. They are incredibly smart! My moms weener dog taught her black lab how to do tricks by him just watching her. it was awesome!

  6. I love Dalmatians. Weimaraners, Vizslas, Irish Setters, German Shorthaired Pointers, Boxers,etc. You'll probably like those too. but check out your local shelter please
